GEOmini
(
DEU
)
A magazine for early emergent readers, GEOmini has been published every month since March, 2010. It is geared to curious kids who are aged 5+ and taking their first steps as readers. Hence, GEOmini forms a logical precursor to the successful GEOlino magazine which is designed for kids between eight and 14 years of age.
The title has been developed by the GEOlino editorial team. With their concept, the editors aim at a mixture of topics that is suitable for the target group and has same journalistic quality that applies to all GEO media brands. For GEOmini, the concept was adjusted to the emergent reader target-group of preschool children and children who are just starting school.
Short and easy to understand, the texts are suitable for children. Short reports and explanatory texts tell the children quite a lot about new cultures, animals and technology, and provide them with a first orientation in regional geography. But with its clear picture language, lovely illustrations, riddles, tips for handicrafts and games, GEOmini is even accessible if the children don't read the texts themselves.
