"360° - Geo reportage": This reportage series is broadcast by the cultural station Arte on Saturday nights at 9.35pm, and shows the exciting life and work of special people. The protagonists are committed scientists, dedicated doctors, environmental activists and other people who live their lives in an unusual and adventurous way. And now the viewer can also participate in their lives. This kind of intimacy conveys the great enthusiasm and the passionate dedication of the people portrayed in this series. Be it in nature, in the middle of a metropolis or on a scientific expedition the world is an interesting place and definitely worth discovering.
"360° - Geo reportage": GEO has had a television presence since 1999 and produces four new programs per month. More than 170 high quality TV documentaries have been made so far in co-operation with Arte, and also recently with the WDR and Studio Hamburg; these were produced by MedienKontor in Berlin. The 52-minute program has been presented by Simone von Stosch since January 2004. Arte broadcasts "360° - Geo reportage" on Saturdays at 9.35pm, and the program is repeated on Sundays at 2.55pm. Further repeats of all programs are broadcast on ARD´s regional channels and also on Premiere´s Discovery Channel.
