NEWS Publishing Group: Euke Frank Appointed New Editor-in-Chief of WOMAN in Austria
Hamburg, January 19, 2006 Austria´s biggest and most popular women´s
magazine has a new editor-in-chief. Euke Frank, 38, a member of the
WOMAN senior editorial team, is now taking on the sole responsibility
for the magazine. She succeeds Uschi Fellner, who is leaving the News
publishing group of her own accord. Euke Frank joined the News publishing
group in 1993 following a traineeship at Austria´s PROFIL magazine, and
went on to hold various executive positions. She was part of the team
that developed WOMAN in Austria and has been part of the senior editorial
team since the magazine was established in 2001.
Oliver Voigt, Chairman of the News publishing group´s board of directors,
commented: "As a mother of two and dyed-in-the-wool journalist, Euke Frank
is the perfect ´WOMAN woman.´ She is the right woman to lead the magazine
into a new era, and is taking over an excellently-run and exceedingly
successful magazine from Uschi Fellner. I thank Uschi Fellner for her
excellent work which made possible WOMAN´s brilliant performance, and
wish her all the best for her personal and professional future. Euke Frank
and her outstanding team will enhance the proven elements in WOMAN´s
success by adding new elements."
