Peter Pelinka, the renowned journalist, experienced editor and former editor-in-chief of FORMAT, is taking the editorial helm at NEWS, Austria's biggest news magazine. Pelinka will be supported by deputy chief editors Corinna Milborn and Silvia Meister. Pelinka already worked successfully with Corinna Milborn, a political journalist and "Club2" moderator, on FORMAT. Gruner + Jahr mourns the passing of Alfred Worm. The publisher of Austria´s NEWS magazine died suddenly and unexpectedly Sunday night at the age of 61. Just last Thursday, Alfred Worm was honored as "Journalist of the Year" by "Der Österreichische Journalist" magazine. Austrian Chancellor Alfred Gusenbauer held the laudatory speech.  ...more

Rudi Klausnitzer, 57, has decided not to renew his contract with the Austrian NEWS publishing group, which is expiring soon, for personal reasons. He will instead take a seat on the publishing group´s advisory board. Oliver Voigt, 39, currently Managing Director of G+J Poland, will succeed him as CEO, having been unanimously appointed by the NEWS shareholders.  ...more
