G+J International is establishing a new international parenting network, based on the German ELTERN.de website, in a move which represents G+J's first transnational online project. By the end of 2008 local websites will go online in Croatia, France, Italy, the Netherlands, Poland, Russia and Spain. In 2009 the worldwide rollout will continue. The beta version was already launched at the end of September in Croatia (www.roditelji.hr) and by the end of October the parenting website in Italy will also go online (www.nostrofiglio.it).  ...more

Dr. Thilo von Trott, 40, will be taking on the management of the newly created department Public Affairs and Corporate Responsibility at Gruner + Jahr with effect from February 1. He will be moving to the corporate communications department from the G+J's Women/Family/People publishing group, where he currently holds a management position with the titles HEALTHY LIVING and FRAU IM SPIEGEL. A new title expands Gruner + Jahr´s offer: the new monthly women´s magazine EMOTION will arrive at newsstands and stores on February 17. The psychology magazine mainly targets women between the ages of 28 and 59. It deals with the topics partnership, career, leisure, friendship, and family from a psychological perspective. Bettina Wündrich, Editor-in-Chief, describes her idea of the target group: "EMOTION addresses women who, when they hear the word ´reflection,´ won´t immediately think of the mirror in their bathroom."   ...more

"Easy, fast, delicious," is the magazine¿s claim; its concept is the brainchild of the experienced ESSEN&TRINKEN team. "We cater primarily to ¿spontaneous cooks¿," says editor-in-chief Martin Lagoda. "Thanks to its size, readers can easily take ESSEN&TRINKEN – FÜR JEDEN TAG to the supermarket with them and buy all they need then and there– we consciously avoided very exclusive ingredients."
