In Spain, Gruner + Jahr is represented by three companies: G+J Spain, Motorpress Ibérica and GPS. Around 500 employees in these companies produce 33 magazine titles, 35 special editions, and more than 17 websites. This range of media products reaches about 7.1 million readers and 3.8 online users every month.
Ever since
G+J Spain started operating in 1978, the publishing house employees have created unique brands and premium magazines. In the women’s segment, they publish COSMOPOLITAN, MARIE CLAIRE and handy weekly magazine MIA, along with numerous line extensions. And titles such as GEO magazine and market leader MUY INTERESANTE have successfully established G+J in the popular science segment. Parent magazine SER PADRES has also been present on the Iberian peninsula for more than 30 years.

Motorpress Ibérica was launched in 1979 and is the Spanish company subsidiary of Motorpresse Stuttgart, Europe’s biggest specialized publishing house for motor magazines, which is represented in 15 countries. Motorpress Ibérica manages the group’s business activities in Spain, Portugal, Mexico, Argentina, Brazil, and Colombia. Premium titles in the motoring, sports and lifestyle segments are published in Spain.

A joint venture founded by G+J Spain and Motorpress Ibérica in 2007, Gestión de Publicaciones y Publicidad (GPS) takes care of publishing house activities for G+J and Motorpresse and has about 200 employees in the advertising, merchandizing, online services, production, IT, finance and administration departments.
