G+J Uitgevers has published the Dutch edition of NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC since 2000. Line extensions NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC TRAVELER and NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC JUNIOR, a knowledge magazine for children and teenagers, followed in 2004. In the same year, the team around CEO Eric Blok also launched the innovative knowledge title QUEST. QUEST immediately garnered praise from both readers and rival magazines, and the Dutch magazine association NUV awarded the G+J magazine the title of "Launch of the Year 2004". Together with QUEST and NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC, G+J is the market leader in the knowledge segment.

With the launch of glossy magazine GLAMOUR in the summer of 2005, G+J expanded its market presence in the women’s segment and received the renowned "Launch of the Year 2005" award again, along with the “Bruna Publieksprijs“ for the best new magazine. In February 2009, G+J Uitgevers boosted its position in the market with the majority takeover of monthly women’s magazine JAN and its four-monthly line extension JANTJE, which focuses on current topics for parents.
