1986
TÉLÉ LOISIRS is started in France. The women's magazine MIA is launched in Spain.

1987
GEO WISSEN hits the market in Germany, while the people magazine VOICI is launched in France. GEO appears on newsstands
in Spain.

1989
G+J founds an Italian subsidiary company in Milan. The travel magazine GEO SAISON is brought onto the market in Germany.
On November 16, one week after the fall of the wall, the special edition of STERN "Germany - Borderless Joy" appears,
containing photos of the peaceful revolution in the GDR. Massive sales are made, especially in East Germany.

1990
The CHEMNITZER, DRESDNER and MECKLENBURGER MORGENPOST newspapers are launched. G+J moves into the
Press Building at Baumwall in the Hamburg harbor area.

1991
G+J acquires the majority of Dresdner Druck- und Verlagshaus, the publisher of the SÄCHSISCHE ZEITUNG newspaper.
In France, CAPITAL is launched and immediately becomes the market-leading business publication.

1992
The popular-science magazine FOCUS makes its debut in Italy.

1993
G+J Poland is established, headquartered in Warsaw. The women's magazine CLAUDIA appears on the Polish market.
In France, the people magazine GALA premieres.
