Children radically change one's life, but they don't turn you into a different person: Nido is a general interest magazine for young families with an urban lifestyle. It is tailored to the new needs of parents with young children and takes its readers seriously, looking beyond their roles as parents. NIDO's content covers a complete range of topics, including politics, economy, travel, health, and culture, as well as psychology and sex – always looking at things from the special perspective of urban parents.
NIDO was developed by Timm Klotzek and Michael Ebert, who had already created one of Germany's most successful magazines, NEON, and are regarded as the inventors of so-called "lifestyle attitude journalism". Nido is different to every other magazine on the German magazine market in that it communicates the lifestyle attitudes of young urban parents.
The editorial team presents their current magazine issues at NIDO.de. On Facebook, the magazine also provides space for discussions about individual articles, images and topics – including those that did not make it into the print magazine.
