GEOLINO is GEO´s children´s magazine. This realization of the GEO concept for young target groups, a logical precursor to the parent GEO magazine, is published every month. GEOLINO is a general interest magazine for boys and girls between eight and 14 years of age. Texts, photography, illustrations and the mixture of topics follow the quality standards of GEO and are supplemented by magazine content that is suitable for children, such as tips for games, riddles, brainteasers, tips for handicrafts, activities and posters.

The GEOLINO concept aims at a balance between knowledge transfer and fun. It takes children seriously without being too overbearing. GEOLINO topics include series on mankind, inventions and culture, reportages about the environment of children, nature and animals, as well as history and technology.

With its editorial realization, layout and thematic versatility, GEOLINO is unique within the market of children´s and teenager magazines.

The success of GEOlino encouraged the editorial team to offer its readers the additional monothematic GEOlino extra magazine which is now being published four times a year. Geared towards an older target group than GEOlino, the GEOlino extra issues are designed to narrow the gap between GEOlino and its parent magazine GEO. The latest issues included "Our Animals", "The Wild West", "Jungle Secrets", and "Magic Worlds".
