NEWS group
With its 15 magazines, the NEWS Group is Austria’s largest magazine publisher. Their recipe for success is to cover varied topics aimed at all interests, coupled with journalism of the highest quality. The approximately 650 employees are determined to be actively involved in designing the future of Austria’s media landscape. The NEWS Group continually launches new, creative and sophisticated magazines, as well as multimedia solutions and therefore expands its leading position in the publishing industry.
The company was founded in 1992 as a complement to NEWS magazine. Since 1998, Verlagsgruppe NEWS has been part of Europe’s biggest publisher, Gruner + Jahr, and has quickly established itself as the flagship of Gruner + Jahr’s International Magazine Division. In 2001, the NEWS group was merged with the Zeitschriften Verlags Beteiligungs-Aktiengesellschaft of the KURIER group.
