Gruner + Jahr does business in Croatia through a joint venture between Sanoma Magazines International (SMI) and Styria Media. The Adria Magazines Holding (AMH) is a Vienna-based 50-50 joint venture between SMI and G+J. Styria Media is a partner to the joint venture and owns stakes in AMH’s regional subsidiaries (25 percent each in Croatia and Slovenia, 10 percent in Serbia). Furthermore, Adria Media Zagreb has acquired the Croatian publishing house Damjana Vjencanja d.o.o. Damjana Vjencanja publishes the wedding magazine VJENCANJA, its special edition CVIJECE and organizes wedding fairs in Zagreb and Opatija.

Launched in 2005, reportage magazine GEO has been published as a licensed edition of GEO International in cooperation with Global Studios d.o.o. since 2010.
